A movie I watched recently

I’ve always considered that when a fictional work is able to make you feel something using their different narrative techniques, that work becomes much more memorable. And I’m not talking only about joy or anger, as those are the most common one. I’m talking about when something makes you feel intrigued, uneasy, confused, or simply is thought provoking. And the movie that I’m gonna talk about today was able to do all that and even more. “Perfect Blue” is a 1997 Psychological Thriller animated movie, directed by Satoshi Kon. The movie follows the ex pop idol Mima Kirigoe, who, after leaving her musical group, debuts as an actress in an adult televisión drama. The movie centers around how she struggles to break into the showbiz, while dealing with the pressure of being a television star and the harassment of her fans, slowly descending into madness. The reason I like this film is mainly because of how the mistery is presented. It would be hard to describe it without spoiling what mak...

The best Holiday in my ife

I have a very small world. By that, I mean that I don’t know a lot of different places and haven’t gone on a large, amazing or impressive vacation. But the few destinies I’ve gone to, I’ve tried to make the most I could during my time in them. That being said, there is a place that, while it’s not very far from Santiago (like two hours) I’ve always felt like it is another world, a perfect summer place that I feel it’s almost as if it was created just for me. That place is Algarrobo, specifically the Canelo/Canelillo sector. This place is know for the beautiful white beaches, interesting landscapes and its close monuments like the Pájaros Niños islet and the Peña Blanca rock formations, although it also has many places if you want entertainment outside of exploring or bathing. The first time I went there was during the summer of 2013, back when I was 14 years old. I traveled ther for a few days with my dad, my brother and sisters, and we traveled by car, and we stayed in a house f...

A place I would like to visit

Imagen
I’m not much of a “travel guy”. Although there are places I’d like to go, I don’t think I’d be that excited to go somewhere really far away to live. However, there are still a lot of landmarks I’d love to go to, like the Sydney Opera House in Australia, the town of Haedo in Argentina and the Shibuya Crossing in Japan. Another place that I would like to go to, and that isn’t really talked about often, is the state of Oregon in the United States. Yes, I know USA isn’t a good place to be in, specially for latin americans. However, the natural landscapes of Oregon are quite beautiful, with places like the Cascade Range and the Crater Lake, which are amazing places that should be mentioned more often when talking about touristic places in my opinion. I’d like to explore Oregon by foot, see what nature created there and how it has been preserved. I think it would even be cool to visit Portland, the most populated city in the state. I’d definitely not live there, as I don’t think the US...
